Update

Well Marie, the Reiki healer, did an excellent job. However, the pain continued but at a significantly reduced rate. Therefore, I went to a hard working private doctor . She was supervising a bunch of US nurses working in the surrounding needy villages. So, I met her, in the dark, at her small office in a back alley. After an examination, she gave me a shot to reduce inflammation that was affecting nerves in my leg. The inflammation created nerve blockage. The shot was wicked. Before giving me the shot, she asked me if I wanted it in the arm or butt. Before I saw the needle, I told her to give it to me in the arm. When I saw the needle (3-4 inches), I should have taken it in the butt-too late. It hurt and hurt for a long time. I went from the seated position to the prone position, BP 90/60 and sweating like a little pig. She kept working and after a little baby juice, I was good to go. She followed it up with a 10 pill prescription, and the next day I felt much better. Even got a great nights sleep. Cost, current US medical plan, $50.00. Doc Faulkner, if you are reading this, I will send you the medications for your advice.
Since I was getting a treatment, I missed the 40 minute boat ride to Santiago. It is a small Guatemalan town across the lake. According the Lynn, I didn’t miss anything. However, here is her story. Lynn, Sue and Graham took a launch to Santiago across the lake.
