On the way from San Cristobal, we stayed in Bahias de Huatulco. We are using 190 MX and 200 MX. Huatulco is a very nice tourist resort. Nice room, quiet, and great pool-$70.00. It was an unintended stop. We intended to do 400 miles. That turned out to be unreasonable. It was a very curvey road from San Cristobal. After 325 miles, we quit.
Next day we only did 85 miles to Puerto Escondido. It was a quiet and fun place. We were on the beach. It had a roof top pool with hammocks. We used them both. Had a great meal. It is big into surfing and fishing.

We arrived in Acapulco at 3 pm. It is a challenge to drive here. It is too crowded for me. I prefer the quiet beaches.
We have been using 200 MX (Pan American Highway). It has been two lanes and very curvey. Top speed is 50 mph. The topes are overwhelming. We average about 100 miles for 3 hours of driving. The only good thing is it is not a cuota. I can´t wait for the cuotas.
The weather is tropical (hot and humid).
