Update

We have not had access to any WIFI for a while. We left Lake Attitlan and headed to El Salvador.

We spent our first night in El Salvador on the ocean. El Salvador was very nice. We were at a golf resort. The people were fantastic and the room was great. That night we had a great dinner next to the Pacific Ocean. Here is Graham discussing options with a large part of his soap.

Winkie’s dream. This was a huge pool. Lynn and I took a dip at 7 am. It was already very hot.

We then moved to San Miguel, El Salvador. Again, it was very hot along the coast. Got up early to hit the Honduran border. Everything said about this particular border was true. We hired a helper. The process, at this particular border, is corrupt and inefficient. That is the best I could say about it. Four hours later we were on our way. Here is what you do a lot of at this particular border crossing.

Mom it’s for you!

Getting out of Honduras was easy. The Nicaraguan road to our first stop was wonderful. However, there are some traffic control devices you want to watch out for.

We stayed our first night at a small hotel with no luxuries. They had a Halloween party that went from 7pm to 3 am. We had wonderful steak dinners. Our destination was Granada, Nicaragua. Had a down pour in Managua and the road had some difficulty dealing with it.

In Granada, we have a very nice room with two pools. The pools are important after a hard day of riding. We were having lunch when we heard some music. Thinking it was a parade, mom ran to the room to get the camera. When it showed up, it was one young boy playing a drum with his buddy in a costume. We gave them 10 Cordova ($0.50 USD) just to stop beating the drum.

Here are some shots of Granada. The main square houses this dated church.

In a day or so, we will head to an island called Ometepe. It is in Lake Nicaragua and has two volcanoes. Then we may head to San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. It is a beach resort on the Pacific coast. Popular destination for the beach crowd.
