Update
We Left Perry, FL for Pensacola, FL. It rained to beat the band.
Florida decided to have a cold snap. We were hoping for good weather while in Pensacola. We wanted to spend time on the beach. Pensacola turned out to be a real nice town. It had great restaurants and great activities. We had the greatest steak dinner at McGuires. Besides being one of the best restaurants in Pensacola, they are known for people leaving a $1.00 bill for good luck. They have over $780,000 autographed bills hanging on the ceilings. They know how much they have because they have to report each year to the IRS as unearned income.
Although it didnt rain during our stay, it was cold because of the wind. Fifty degrees can be cold with wind and high humidity. The beaches were sandy and white.
Gayle, they build bridges and piers for people to fish off.
Tom, they do catch some nice size fish.
The beaches go on for miles.
Renee, they have almost 20 golf courses in the city. Here is a potential winter stay for a couple of weeks. We visited Pensacola Naval Air Station. They have a great hotel for extended stays at $45.00 a night. We then visited the Naval Air Museum. It has over 150 air planes.
Here are two that went downtown Hanoi.
The Intruder.
They call this one the Gunfighter.
They even had a real town of buildings from the 40s that were in Pensacola.
Pensacola NAS is the home of the Blue Angels. These are actual F-18s used and retired by the Blue Angels.
Lynn, is trying out for a recent opening.
We will be in New Orleans December 8, 9, and 10.
