Update
Here are a few interesting facts about Bogota the capital of Colombia. It was founded in 1538 by Spanish Conquistores. The average temperature is 55 degrees at an altitude of 8500 feet. This is no nonsense law enforcement in Bogota.
We went back to Church San Francisco to photograph the golden altar. However, mass was being said. Here is the side altar. The main altar is 3 times this size.

The miners created The Salt Cathedral 450 feet beneath the earth. We took the one mile tour. They hold miners mass every Sunday. This is the entrance as you walk the l mile route.
The first part is dedicated to the 14 Stations of The Cross. They are all carved out of salt. The Cross represents Christ. They couldnt create people in the salt as the water would wash them away. The hollow Cross represents His death-Station XII.
This is the Cross in the Cathedral. It is 50 feet high and 35 feet wide, approximately.
This is the salt altar.
As you enter the Cathedral, you will see this representation of Michelangelos famous fresco at the Vatican. It came in six pieces and weighs several tons.
This is the baptismal font. They do not use water to baptize the child as the font is made of salt.
Therefore, they use salt water from the earth to baptize the child.
We leave Saturday for Cali. It will take two days to get there. Our overnight stay will be Ibaque or Armenia.
