Trip to London :-((
How things are progressing. My 2 days of London traffic.Went to London to pick up my Kenya visa, got there a bit early so stopped in Regents Park for toilet and coffee, (try finding a public convenience in London). Been there for the zoo but never realised what a fantastic garden and interesting places it was.
Anyway got to the visa office and all was good, got the passport with the stamp. Headed over to Sue's who had agreed to put me up for the night and had a good chat, dinner and sleep, (thanks Sue).
Got up this morning and headed for the Tanzania office, handed over the paperwork and money and bonus can pick up the visa today at 2-30. (That is 4 hours in London not good, so went for a ride around some of the old haunts, place is almost unrecognizable but actually a lot nicer than it was 30 years ago).
Lunch and back to the West End. Paid for the bike parking this morning so at least I do not have to go through paying for that by phone again, took a 15 minute land-line call to park the bike for one pound. How does Westminster run this at a profit? ( Wonder how much Vodophone will bill me for? £5) or is it just they will not admit defeat, using low paid minimum wage people I guess.
Got to the visa office at 2.00 thinking I would have a wait but hey ho, was back on the bike at 2.10, all visa's done...
September the first is looking even more likely ..
