USA 1
Bike is booked for day after tomorrow, space centre tomorrow.Well here we or more to the point I go. Flight booked, bike booked, visa done, Harley Davidson Road King booked, route planned (we will wait and see how that works out), Hotels for Florida and Los Angeles booked, Health and travel Insurance booked, Trip from airport to hotel booked.
Packed tent, sleeping bag and thermorest, 3 pairs of pant, 3 pairs of socks, 3 t shirts and one pair of trousers, enough for 3 weeks oh yes and a leatherman. Will wear bike jeans, jacket and boots on plane with music, laptop, maps, gloves and crash helmet as hand luggage. Lap top and MP3 player so I can sleep on the flight.
All sorted. Visit the Kennedy Space Center (it is in USA so excuse spelling) then two and half thousand miles across USA in 15 days is all that's left to do before my flight home.
Simple.
What have I forgotten, whatever it is will have to be sorted out when I arrive.
Rubbish nights sleep and at airport 2 hours early. Good news was they let me through with the helmet as hand luggage.
Broke my no alcohol rule already, 8 hour flight, 4 hours clearing customs etc and getting to airport and hotels, just needed a couple of Buds. Temperature here was 33 when we landed, why did I bring winter stuff, in the bin it will go and hope it warms up when I return. Any stories you hear about USA customs are rubbish, brilliant people.
Not sure I will manage to navigate around USA going by Orlando, will be lost rapidly, real lost adventure. Hope to find my way home sometime though.
Early start tomorrow to spend a day at the space centre, all those hours I spent listening to the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo flights will become real, can not wait.
