A Grand day at the Grand Canyon.Sunday 29th

Brilliant weather again, went off to Grand Canyon 75 miles there and what can one say. pictures do not do it justice and the North Rim was closed due to the cold weather? 72 degrees on the South side. Was everything I expected plus a whole lot more. That river down the bottom looked like a stream. Amazing to look down on birds flying until they were mere specks headed down. When I first walked to the view point, was disappointed, thinking seen better, whats the fuss about. Turned to speak to the others and was blown away by it, size, colours and immensity of it when I looked in the other direction. There was still snow on the slopes.

After headed to a town Williams on 66 for lunch in the company of the 4 Canadians.

Great restaurant and micro brewery, old petrol station done up as a diner, cars sticking out of walls, old pumps, real old sixties with live music, Purple, Rainbow and man who did Cat Scratch Fever playing.(Ted Nugent)
