April 1st after mid day.
Spent the night in a Bivvy bag, did not even have a match to start a fire.April 1st
Riding across the desert, them cowboys were real heroes, doing it on the Harley high up in the mountains was hot and hard, on a horse would have been something. The road is in the picture somewhere because I came through the hills in front.
Even the road twisted and turned, no idea why it was flat. Yesterday seems a long time ago but ended up in the Joshua Tree Park.
Wow is all I can say, took loads of pictures, gneiss and granite meeting point. Cactus forest and beautiful flowers.
Got the right time of year. So nice decided to camp the night looking at the stars.
Forgot that it gets cold at night in the desert and was glad of morning to warm up. Headed round the park again. Roads were the best I have been on, smooth and 20 miles of non stop bends, only issue was silly speed limit of 35mph. Headed out of the park at 1 pm and got lost, ended up on the interstate to LA. Right direction wrong time. Stopped in some small town still 60 miles from LA for lunch and bed. Real American cafe, it was excellent, beer, steak, banana cream and ice-cream all cooked on the premises by Grandma??? Oh yes the beer was Mexican, cold and had to have a couple.
