Got up early, had breakfast and headed for Capetown, headed South and found Atlantis,
Tagged Atlantis sign, (How the mighty have fallen).

always knew it existed, names of gangs running the territory were painted or tagged all over the place, (American TV programs I guess so did not stop, headed onwards but decided to run down the coast road so turned right and headed west. Got to the coast road and must have been about 50km out of Capetown when I noticed this grey ghostly thing coming out of the fog. Turned out to Table Mountain.

It was extremely big to say the least, just had to pull over to photo it and look. Rode into Capetown to see Adrian of EcoTrans who is shipping the bike back and the mountain just kept on growing. !0km out and it does not fit into the peripheral vision, amazing. Had my chat and headed off feeling much relieved that it was a caring, very pleasant man who was going to look after the little treasure and ensure she has a good homeward trip, not just someone who would crate it and send it. Which is after all what he is going to do.
Took off to look for a car hire place but could not handle the idiots in cars so got on the N1 and headed out and North, the drivers on this road were as bad so after 50km turned East for Paarle where I stopped and looked for a route. Back on the R1 or 110km loop up through the mountains and cross the R1 about 20km from where I was. Mountains won. Amazing is all I can say again, 20km of long straight 90km of twisting and turning up and down mountains. Old Boer war blockhouses put up by the Brits all along the railway line and at strategic spots, worked at the time but why have gun ports one metre up a wall? 3 would have been better. 4 o’clock and still going, pass after pass and there was a campsite at Robertson right by the river.
Campsite Silwerstrand, had 2 dogs that hated Motorbikes, was not impressed until owner got on one and dogs went ape at her as well.

395 km today and 250 at least in the mountains on the wine route.
Back to riding for the fun of it, no sightseeing and no wine tasting.
Great little campsite.
