Wednesday 25th February
We took a short river boat cruise around the waters of Ft Lauderdale today. What can I say Money money money.

Apparently Someone with more money than sense bought a yacht that was to long for his property so he bought the house next door and knocked it down.

Then road to South Miami to have a look at some crazy structure built by an Edward Leedskalnin who spent years carving large lumps of coral rock out of the ground with very basic tools and even made is own pick axes and wedges out of old leaf springs. He some how managed to not only carve these structures out of the coral rock but also move and align them with nothing more than a large tripod and a series of pulleys. He had a oven made from the rear diff of an old axel. Then some time after creating most of it he had heard of a new highway being built so bought some land right by it and spent years moving it piece by piece.
We only did a total of 80 miles to day but spent about 6 hours on the bike. We had a great day but I will be glad to see the back of Miami and its traffic.

This is just a few of his tools, I seem to remember working in a workshop not much better equipped than this.

Thursday 26th February
Left North Miami early to try and miss the traffic. We didn't leave early enough.
But once clear of Miami we had a pretty good run to Key West. We stopped of a couple of times for food, drink and petrol, which is a third of the price of petrol in the UK. It is also very windy which made for an interesting ride. It was only 190 miles and took us nearly 7 hours to get here including stops.
