Saturday 20th June
My itching arm is driving me crazy but at least the Antibiotics have started to kick in the swelling has gone and it is not as red although it's still hot to touch. Don't like the steroids they make me all jittery. Had a boring day sitting around doing bugger all. Marcia went for a ride on a tour bus in the afternoon and also had a walk around a museum.

Sunday 21st June
A good ride to Missoula today went the long way and was still only 135 miles. Felt absolutely knackered though. Went straight to sleep as soon as we were checked in and unloaded.

Monday 22nd June
Arm is still itchy but looking better to day, got a constant headache now and keep feeling sick.

Tuesday 23rd June
Still got a constant headache but at least the itching has just about stopped, my arm is looking almost normal now. I got up early to take the bike in to get the new tyres fitted, was going OK as they said they would do them straight away, then after an hour they tell me they only had a rear tyre in despite me phoning in a week earlier talking to both parts and service departments. They tried to talk me in to fitting a crap tyre on the front that did not match the rear to make them feel better. I decided on having just the rear as the front still had some life in it. I can't believe this has happened twice now.

Wednesday 24th June
Thought we would try and move on but after loading the bike I was knackered. Only got a hundred miles and had a pounding headache, felt sick and felt pretty rough had another 40 miles before we found somewhere to stay. But was still a good ride weather was perfect not to hot or windy. Now going to rest up for a couple more days.

Thursday 25th
Still feeling really rough, Marcia looked up the antibiotics they gave me and it looked like I was having an allergic reaction, I eventually agreed to go back to see a doctor. Doctor said stop taking the antibiotics as you are having an allergic reaction to them, also gave me blood tests, said my salt levels were low but everything else was fine, said the drugs were the cause especially the headaches, he was also happy that the infection had cleared up.

Friday 26th June
Feeling much better this morning looking forward to getting back out there.
