San Simeon
We decided to take a break from riding for a few days and have checked in to a Motel in San Simeon. We were near here on our way up to San Francisco, there was a tour of Hearst castle that Marcia really wanted to do but like Alcatraz was fully booked so we booked it up and came back to do the night tour.

We also took a look at this old house up on Nitt Wit Ridge built by Arthur Harold Beal out of scrap, a somewhat eccentric character and not well liked by most of his neighbours.
