Friday 30th Oct.
Back in Aukland for some much needed bike repairs, the chain and sprockets were not going to last long and the trip to Cape Reinga and back has finished them off so I have ordered a set from the Suzuki dealers here in Takapuna, they will be in Monday also Ferg has ordered me a set of tyres through his place at cost for me. They would probably last another 1000 mikes but as i'm going to be doing the chain and sprockets I thought might as well get them done now. Also I have been given a ticket from Ferg to the http://www.bigboystoys.co.nz/auckland for tomorrow. 
Got the chance to catch up on MotoGP tonight, first race I've seen all year. 

Saturday 31st Oct.
Spent most of the day at the big boys toys show. Lots of cool stuff, from Marc Marquez's Honda,Bikes Cars and boats etc Also got to meat John Munro the son of the late great Burt Munro, had a good chat with John who I hope to catch up with again at the Burt Munro rally in November. I also got chatting to Phill from the Yamaha stand who is going to email me loads of info on routes and passes to ride. Both John and Phil told me about the Coromandel route that I thought I had already planned to do but after talking to them I have realised my route was way off. So thanks guy's. There was also a small stunt show on with BMx bikes Cars and Motor X bikes. All in all a good day out. 

 
Sunday 1st Nov
Got woken up by the sound of cheering and fireworks this morning as the Kiwis one the rugby world cup. Ferg had to go to the show again today but left me the run of his house and garage, it did not take me long to get the wheels out and remove the chain and sprockets ready to take in on Monday so took a walk down the beach for lunch then back to catch up with motogp as Ferg had them all recorded. Think I watched the last three rounds. Need to try and be somewhere where I can watch the last round looks like it will be fun.

Monday 2nd Nov.
Went in to work with Ferg this morning taking the wheels with us.I spent the morning helping Ferg sort the stock out that was returned from the show while I waited for the tyres we had ordered that arrived at about 11:30. I kept popping next door to the Suzuki dealers to see if my chain and sprockets had arrived they arrived at about 1 O'clock and I took the chain to their service department where they cut it to the correct length for me. Meanwhile while waiting for the tyres to be fitted John Munro came in to the shop and invited me to stay with them on my way to the rally. Once the tyres were fitted I borrowed Fergs car and drove back to his place to fit them on the bike, it only took about an hour so I drove back to the shop for Ferg. Once back at Fergs I had a shower loaded the bike and set off to see John before I set off on my travels again.
