The Burt Munro
Country

Wednesday 25th Nov
Not a bad start to the day slight winds and no rain for the 100 mile ride to Invercargill. Stopped off in Invercargill at E Hayes Hardware store, well not just any old hardware store this is a store with a difference as it has quite a good collection of old motorbikes and cars on display, also some old machine tools. Pedal power lathes, old hand tools and all sorts of interesting old junk. The main attraction is the original Indian of Burt Munro it resides there in a glass case with his Velocette beside it. The forecast for the weekend is not good and along my journey here I have met many people who have said it is always bad weather for the Burt Munro weekend. Lets hope they are wrong.
After checking in at the backpackers I took a ride to Bluff and to Stirling Point the sun is still shinning and the wind is not to cold.
