Friday 4th Dec
Woke up early and the sun was out so I got up and packed up the tent while it was dry. The forecast for the next couple of days was not bad for the west coast so I left for Franz Joseph via the Haast road. A little chilli but sun all the way and a very good days riding. Thankfully my phone's and camera are all working fine, I also remembered today that I had an app on my iPhone that remotely operates my camera so messed around with a few selfies today. No room at the backpackers so I have splashed out on a motel room its way to cold up here for a tent. And free WiFi not only here but seems to be in all the restaurants and bars as well and yes its unlimited.

Saturday 5th Dec
I was hoping to make use of the reduced cost of the helicopter flights but they have been unable to fly due to bad weather got another chance first thing in the morning but i'm not holding my breath. So as its wet and miserable out there I am having a lazy day making good use of the hotel room.
