Very Lazy Day. 
Drinking beer and eating food. 
 
Tuesday 22nd 
A hot and sunny start and I was almost tempted to spend another day just relaxing by the lake. Although very touristy, Taupo had a feel good factor, it probably had a lot to do with good accommodation at a good price and a short walk to a bar.
Had a really warm ride back to Auckland. Got myself deliberately lost down some nice twisty roads until I realised I was heading back to Taupo. I rode in to Hamilton but did not feel like staying there, for the last bit I ended up using the motorway.  It's definitely warmer here in the North Island the wind is not as cold for one.
This is pretty much the end of my trip for now going to enjoy some time with my friends here in Auckland for Christmas and then get the bike ready to sell and sell it before I come back to UK and decide what to do.
 
So happy Christmas to you all. Although it really does not feel like it until dark and then the quiet little street that John lives in lights up like Blackpool illuminations.
