Arambol Beach (Goa)

After a good hour driving we arrive in Arambol. Truly a beautiful beach, surrounded by palm trees and no garbage in sight! There was a cow, so we can’t forget we are still in India.

A Cow on the Beach? Only in India!

We find a bungalow on the beach, located under palm trees so we can enjoy a fresh breeze at temperatures around 35 degrees. Finally we can take a swim, something we have been looking forward to for two months now. The water was really warm and we enjoy our swim in the Arabic Ocean.

The Warm Water was Amazing

Arambol is highly recommended. It is very cheap and there is a lot to do, such as paragliding and a nice nightlife.

We also have some work on the bike. When we wake up it appears that some asshole dropped the bike but fortunately, he did put him right back. There are a few small cracks in the right panel which we seal with duck-tape. Earlier, the left luggage rack came loose which caused some bolts to come loose as well, resulting in an ugly crack in the rack. We will look for a welder and for a way to make it stronger than before. On the way to the welder we see this beautiful church.

We follow the beach further north where there is a fresh water lake just below the hill. People usually have a sea bath, followed by a mud bath at the stream above the lake (its said to have healing effect for the skin) and followed by a bath at the fresh water lake.

After this it is our plan to go to the most southern tip of India. Along the way we will explore some of the Indian beaches. Around Christmas and New Year we should be in South India.
This year we are participating in the New Year's Dive!
