India: First Impression

Finally we are in India and what follows is a trip of 800 kilometres over three days.

Finally in India

The bad roads, the traffic, the constant honking, the smell, the dust and the constant quest for meat make it a true hell. We can’t wait to leave India as soon as possible.

A Huge Hole in the Road

However, the cows on the road where we feared for, seems not to be here. They are all chained along the side of the road. We drive, eat and sleep. There’s not much more to tell. However, it seems we were entering into a horror story when the ''bird from hell” wakes us up: The bird is flapping its wings constantly while he sits on the tray of the air-conditioning. He constantly taps his beak against the window and screams constantly. Neither of us dares to go even near the balcony.

The Bird from Hell

Nice are the many wild monkeys that we encounter along the way.
