Lovina
Our next destination is Lovina, a village on the north coast of Bali, known for its dolphins spotting. The road to Lovina runs through the mountains and we pass the Twin Lake. The last piece goes through a very small road that is not really in a good condition but it is very beautiful.

Arrived at Lovina, we see all the big hotels are far beyond our budget. On good luck, we drive into a dead end street and find a room in a villa with pool. They have one budget room, which is still available for one night. The breakfast is the best weve had so far in Indonesia. It is a pity that we can stay only one night in this hotel. We find another hotel in Lovina because we definitely want to stay a bit longer in this lovely village. Lovina itself is not really big but its cosy, because of the many restaurants and bars. Nearby you will find several waterfalls and hot springs, and it is a base for snorkelling / diving at a nearby island.
Lovina Beach
It is 4 euro / pp. to go dolphin spotting. For this, we need to be at the beach at 6AM where a fishing boat takes us to sea. First, we see the sunrise over the mountains and soon after that we see the first dolphins. During the two hours at sea, we see several dozen dolphins. It's something else than the dolphinarium and we really enjoyed it.
Dolphin Spotting at Lovina
In the afternoon we visit three waterfalls, the first of which consists of several waterfalls. Our favourite is Colek Pamor, this waterfall is not so touristic and therefore, no entrance fee was paid. On top of that, we were all alone there. It is about a fifteen minute walk from the main street to this beautiful piece of nature. We enjoy it so much that we go back the next day and again we are all alone. . In total we pay 1.50 euro for two persons for the two other waterfalls there, in Thailand you pay more for one person for one waterfall.
