New South Wales - The Premier State
When we enter the state of New South Wales, we notice that the border town has a very ambiguous name: Cockburn. Not too much later we arrive in Broken Hill where we find a camping close to the centre. We enjoy some rest time after the long days on the road and regularly take a dip in the pool because its very hot. On our third day here we have an appointment with the farmer where we find out the salary isnt as good as we had thought, because we really have to work long hours for our money. We have some doubts but decide to give it a try and the next day we are on our way to the farm in White Cliffs.
At the Camping in Broken Hill
When we arrive the farmer shows us our free accommodation and this is really disappointing. The house is filled with cobwebs and spiders, the bathroom is dirty and filthy, half of the kitchen appliances no longer work and the pots and pans are all greasy. The next day we head back to Broken Hill, where we stay for another two nights in the same camping. We hear from several people that theres a lot of work in Mildura, a city in the state of Victoria, so we decide to drive over there.
