Om Beach

Along with Luke and Maria, we make a tour through the last part of Goa, towards Om Beach. The road is quiet and we are again treated with beautiful views.

Arrived at Om Beach, we start looking for a hut on the beach. Again not to be found, but we find a bungalow a few steps away from the beach. Pure relaxing here again: swimming, hiking and lazing.

Our Hotel on the Beach

On the quest for the neighbouring beach, Half Moon Beach, we take the wrong road. We stroll on a small path which has huge cobwebs, and lots of them, hanging over the path. Inside are big, yellow spiders.

Kevin throws large stones or branches to clear the path. For a moment we think we are totally lost, but after hiking for three hours we seem to be back at Om Beach. We have a quick bite and then leave for our second attempt to reach Half Moon Beach. This time we take the right path and we are treated with a nice beach in a small bay, without much people.

Half Moon Beach

On Sunday, lots of Indians spend their day off at the beach. Many tourists stay away from the beach because of their screaming and because they always ask to take a picture together. For us, it is fun because we have a nice chat with some of them. It’s also pleasant to see the way they are enjoying themselves.

Tomorrow we start driving more inland, heading south to see the second highest waterfall in India and the mountains.
