Phuket
Its about an hour's drive to reach Phuket. We decide to go to Patong Beach because its quite centrally located in Phuket and because there is much to do. Once arrived, we dont know where to look first, so we decide to get something to drink. Meanwhile, we check on booking.com if there are any bargains to be made because its low season and there are quite a few hotels without any customers for the moment. We see a room with everything we want, for the craziest price we've seen on this trip. Its only 6.5 euro for one night. We go and take a look at the room and we take it immediately. The next day it rains quite a bit so we stay in the room, watch some TV and enjoy the air conditioning. We have a balcony with a nice view over Patong.

Then it's time for our island expedition. Phuket is a rather large island so walking would not really be doable. Instead, we take the motorbike. When we drove inside Phuket, we already saw several beaches. These beaches in the north of Phuket are still relatively quiet and some of them are almost deserted.
One of the Deserted Beaches
This time, we drive south to explore the southern beaches of the island which are busier with large towns that have grown around most of these beaches. Not really our thing, but the beaches are nice and there are also some viewpoints. We follow the coastline and after some beaches we arrive at a beautiful viewpoint.

Another Viewpoint Along the Way
On our trip, we see several beautiful beaches and one really nice viewpoint, and we enjoy our day. Phuket is a beautiful island, but we prefer the smaller and more basic islands.
That night we go to watch the WorldCupGame, Belgium - Russia. The game is shown on about every tv in town and we had already seen a street with some cosy bars. In the first bar we see when we arrive in the pub street, we see a bargirl with a dress of Belgium. We decide to watch the game in this bar. We ask the girl for a picture right away, so we have a souvenir of the World Cup.
