Back On The Road
After two weeks in Belgium it's time to go back to Indonesia. We first fly to Jakarta and want to book a flight at the airport to Bali. We wait until the next day for a cheap flight because the available tickets are ridiculously expensive for such a short distance. We decide to stay one night in Jakarta and look for a hotel around the airport. The only transit hotel at the airport is closed so we have to find something else. We already miss Mickey because all the taxis at the airport charge excessive money. We are approached by a man who offers a hotel with free transportation to and from the airport. The room is above our budget but we save a lot of money on taxis. The next day we fly in the afternoon to Bali.
Waiting in Schiphol
In the evening we arrive at our hotel in Denpasar and we are pleased to see Mickey is in order. We stay a few days in Denpasar to rest, to prepare Mickey and we visit some shipping agents to ask about shipping Mickey from Denpasar to Australia. After our stay here we leave for Lombok with a stopover in Lovina, so we can enjoy the rijsttafel once more. As we already drove twice to Lovina, we choose to take a different road. Its a bit of a detour but its worth it.
Paddy Fields in Bali
The next day we drive to the pier to take the ferry to Lombok. We have already been on the site of the pier, so we are going to try to take a different path. Again, we have no regrets because its the first time during our stay in Bali that we have a beautiful view over the volcano of Bali.
Mount Batur
At the pier we can immediately drive up the ferry and it takes four hours to get in Lombok. The sea is a bit wilder than with the previous ferries but we can enjoy a beautiful sunset over sea. Arrived in Lombok we drive straight to Bangsal because tomorrow we want to take the boat to Gili Trawangan. We are looking for a hotel near the pier, so we can walk to the boat and leave Mickey at the hotel.

Beautiful Bali
PS: we have contacted different shipping agents in Bali but after several weeks we still havent heard anything. However, after a rough estimate we received at one of the offices, it does seem to be more expensive than a shipment from Dili, East Timor.
