Lumbini

We decide to follow a small road to Lumbini. The ride takes us through small, beautiful villages. Here we see the local life outside the mountain areas. The road is slow and therefore we arrive in Lumbini in the evening time. Here we encounter some Belgians who are interested in our story and we have a nice chat with them. Then we start looking for a hotel and get something to eat.
The next day we visit the temple complex where countries from around the world are building or have built a Buddhist temple. However many temples are still under construction, it is really a nice place to visit.

Around this Lake, the most Temples are Finished

The access was free but probably this will change once the complex is finished. It's here where Buddha was born and so we visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha, but there is not really much to see.

The Exact Location where Lord Buddha was Born

By noon we had seen Lumbini and we decide to go again, this time towards the Indian border since our time in Nepal is up.
Along the way, we hit a chicken: she flew into our windshield and we saw her going over the bridge... no idea if she made it.
We spend our last night in Nepal in a hotel along the highway. The next day we leave to the border. We decide to take the same border crossing as the one we took on the way in. Now however we wait until it's our turn to cross, so we don't lose another mirror :-)
