Pakistan - India
At half past ten we stand ready when the border opens. Exiting Pakistan initially seems a bit difficult, because there are no clear signs where to go for the Carnet. But for the first time, everything is centred in one building and the people working there are quite helpful. All in all, exiting Pakistan goes smoothly and an hour later we are out.
On the Indian side everything is also centred in one building and everything goes somewhat quickly. Some delay because we have to put our entire luggage through the scanner, something we never had to do before. According to the customs officer this is a precaution because we are entering from Pakistan.
All together the whole border crossing takes about two hours.
