All during the trip, day or night there were boats coming along side to exchange people, goods and whatever needed transported or passed on. The boat often stopped at riverside villages or business's.

Arriving Santarem: Santarem is located on the south bank of where the Tapajos River meets the Amazon. The Tapajos is much clearer than the chocolate waters of the Amazon.

This guy was from France living in Brazil. A few days before he had cracked some bones in his foot riding his Yamaha 250 in the jungle.

Whenever we pulled in to a pier, it would be crazy busy for about 20 minutes and then everyone would be gone.

Arrived in Manaus and decided to spend the day, take a good shower and catch up on the blog. The plan now is to work my way back Colombia and then head south.
