Not sure how it turned out, I headed for the rodeo:

When I found the ticket window it was a 8"x10" hole in a piece of roofing tin about 4' off the ground. It was every man, woman and child for themselves. An old lady about 4' tall elbowed me in the groin to get in front of me. Game on, I managed to push her out of the way but a short old man squeezed in front of me and managed to get his head in the hole. I tried to pry him out but he also had one arm in the hole and was fighting pretty good. After a few thrown elbows, a lot of pushing and some load threats I finally got my ticket along with one for an English guy that just couldn't make it to the window.

I'm not sure what the rules are or if anyone wins. Anyone is allowed in the ring and you can harass the bull all you want. The rider can hang on anyway he can and if he's not thrown he stays on while people torment the animal. The riders feet are actually tied to the chest rope using some break away string. It didn't always break though.

As mentioned, anyone can get in the ring, it doesn't matter how much you've had to drink. Actually, everyone in the ring was drinking beer and rum and then throwing the containers at the bull.
This guy was so drunk he couldn't stand without hanging onto the fence. I thought sure he was a goner. Finally, he fell down and couldn't get up and someone grabbed his arm and dragged him out. He was fighting to stay in the whole time. A woman came over and gave him hell and wouldn't let him crawl back in.
One guy kept sneaking in no matter how many times they dragged him out. Finally they dragged him out and tied his hands and feet. He was some mad, but I think it was more because he could drink with his hands tied.
In between bull rides the guys in the ring provided great entertainment. Dancing and showing off for the crowd. As the afternoon went on fights would break out and everyone would cheer. Absolutely no rules.

Everyone in the ring tries to show their bravery and get the bull to charge of hit the fence. The only way out is under the fence or to climb high on the wall to get out of the bulls reach.

One of the riders didn't fair so well and his right foot didn't bread away when he got thrown. He got dragged for a bit and was rolling around while his foot stayed in the same position. The whole crowd was cheering and then screaming ohhh. The bull kicked up and came down on the guys back and then his foot broke loose. He was panicked and tried to get up and run but collapsed. The ring guys got the bull away and got some ropes around him. They dragged the guy out of the ring by his arms. Again, no emergency medical staff or equipment. It was pure chaos at times.
A few minutes later a fight broke out right behind me in the women and children section. A couple ladies had a misunderstanding I guess and went at it. The whole place cheered and everyone rushed the fence to see and cheer them on. Some kids were crying but most were cheering and trying to get a better view.
When it ended there were loud boo's and they started chanting something. Another small skirmish started and the crowd went wild. It took quite awhile to get everyones attention back on the rodeo so they could start again.
The finally! Tie a a bag to the bulls head and the one that can grab it gets the prize. Inside the bag is a piece of paper worth money. By now, everyone is primed and feeling brave. It was fantastic, I was to busy watching to take photo's.
