South Africa to Namibia

May 18, 2015:
Back in Cape Town to get a service and some new tires before heading into Namibia and beyond.

May 23, 2015:
Ended up staying a bit longer than planned getting everything accomplished however all is good, back on the trail! The weather had been great however my day started off overcast with light rain. It got a bit worse but by mid afternoon the rain stopped and it was just overcast and foggy. Worked my way up the coast to Elands Bay and stopped for the evening. The hotel was 100 meters from the shore however I couldn't see the waves.

May 24, 2015:
Weather was a better however the fog was still heavy. Fueled up in Lamberts Bay and then headed for Springbok, 75 miles south of the Namibian border.

It was difficult to stay off of the throttle on this road!

May 25, 2015:
Crossed into Namibia and headed for the Fish River Canyon area. The roads were good for the most part however there was a few rough and sandy areas and the going was slow. The distance from the border to Fish RIver Canyon is about 130 miles but by the time I got close it was getting late and I wanted to set up camp before it got dark.

Just north of Springbok:
