Lake Teletskoye
July 20, 2016:
I had met three German riders in Berdsk, 3 months into a RTW, and then again in Kosh-Agash. They have a 30 ride tour through China booked, Mongolia to Laos, and had invited me along. It was short notice and the agency they booked it through was going to try rushing the permits and permission for another rider. The trip departs Mongolia on Aug 25 and none of us wanted to stay more that 30 days in Mongolia (need permission over 30 days) so we hung out in Russia. I mostly wanted to wait on information about the China trip.
July 24, 2016:
I met the Germans again at a campsite west of Aktash along with a couple Serbian riders. The Serbs were riding to Lake Teletskoye the next day and we all joined in.
July 25, 2016:
On our way to Lake Teletskoye, 10 am, 112 miles one way. At first I thought it was going to be a smooth ride, no, it was mostly rough gravel. We started with one other German (Joeseph) however he had some moto issues and turned back midday.

Four hours to ride, four hours of daylight and these guys want to spend a half hour trying to pop wheely's on the bridge. I want a beer.

Got back to Aktash at 9 pm. a very long ride day but a very fun one!
