May 31-Jun 01

May 31, 2015:
Departed Luderitz and rode back to Aus to take the C14 north to Walvis Bay. It's supposed to be one of Namibia's most scenic routes. It was a clear day however the wind had kicked up so most of the ride was pretty much a hang on and get to shelter. The road was in pretty good shape, just a few areas of lose sand, some that got pretty squarely. Spent the evening in Maltahohe.

June 01, 2015:
Clear day but the wind was still blowing. The plan was to make it to Swakopmund which is just north of Walvis Bay. For a scenic route, it wasn't very scenic, however the road was good and it wasn't cold.

Song of the Day: Horse With No Name, America

About 25 miles out from Walvis Bay I entered the coastal area that's all sand. The wind had picked up considerable, it was a sand storm. At one point I had to pull off the road and wait for someone to follow because of poor visibility and the sand that was piling up.

Wifi has been scarce.
