Just riding
Departed Salento on the 5th and rode to Buenaventura, it's the only town on the west coast you can drive to and has one of Colombia's major ports. Didn't see anything to keep me there so I rode inland to Buga for the night. I joined up with a dozen motorcycle police riding V-Stroms on the way to Buga, great ride. There was lots of traffic and construction along the way and having a police escort was a lot of fun.
Salento: This guy pulls mountain bikes up a dirt rode on the weekends sometimes hooking four bikes together.

Rode to Popyan the next day and did some riding around the mountain in the areas. Did take many photo's, it was nice just riding!

This is the furthest I've stretched the tank so far. Not sure how much fuel was still in the tank, I just put a couple gallons in and went back up in the hills.

Was having a beer at cafe near my hotel and noticed this. They don't look like power lines however rubbing against a metal sign post can't be good.

One of the nice things about Colombia is that moto's don't pay any tolls. They build a special lane for us:

Just outside of Medellin I stopped to get something to eat and have the moto washed. This guy seemed pretty interested in the Gringo.

I'm back in Medellin now, arrived on the 10th and am getting the moto serviced at Ruta 40 BMW. The plan now is to head for Cucuta and then cross into Venezuela. There are still a couple places I want to visit here in Colombia however, I plan on coming back through after seeing the northern regions.
