Uruguay Oct 14-18, 2014
It's been slow going since I've entered Uruguay due to thunder storms and rain showers. I've done some short day rides however the sky doesn't want to stay clear for long. Even though I've been weather bound, Uruguay is a great place to hold up.
After a night of severe thunder storms I was once again on the trail. Decided against attempting this crossing:

The back roads are kept in very good conditions and after some rain it's difficult not to try tearing them up!

Got an early start from Tacuarembo after having been stopped short the day before due to storms. The weather wasn't looking to promising but I was planning on riding into Argentina. From Uruguay
Rhea, raised for feathers, skins and meat. It's native to South America however the numbers in the wild are few.

Well the weather closed in on me around 1:00 pm when I arrived in Salto so I decided to lay up and cross the border tomorrow. Processing through customs when you're soaking wet is never fun. Great couple days of riding!
