A Morocco weekend
April 17, 2016:
Arrived in Casablanca and then on Monday the 18th I took the moto to Moto Express (Kacim) to have the work done. Greg from Wheels of Morocco, met on the HUBB, told me about the shop. It only took a couple days to have everything done however I stayed until Friday. Kacim, Greg and Soufiane (BMW Motorrad SMEA Morocco) invited me as a guest on a three day ride sponsored ride out to the desert in Merzouga. Sounded like fun!
April 22, 2016:
Met everyone early morning at a petrol station just outside Casablanca and we were soon on our way. I think we were 35+ motorcycles with a few two up. The plan was to ride through the mountains to Erfoud and stay the night there and then ride desert the next day, a 370 mile run on mostly narrow, curved paved roads, awesome!

This area just outside Erfoud is where many movies are filmed, one being, The Mummy. Never seen it.

Great ride day, a bit challenging at times, lots of spills, flops and a few broken moto pieces, but everyone was fine and in great spirits.
Time for few cold beers!

I was a bit apprehensive at first about riding with so many motos in one group, largest I've ever been part of, however everything went great. To everyone that was along for the ride, thank you.
A weekend in Morocco, good times!
