January 02, 2014:
Went back to the immigration office and got the moto processed into Colombia and then headed towards Medellin, 350 miles. Got lots of time to get there, Monday the 6th is a holiday so the plan is be at the BMW dealer on the 7th.
About 25 miles out of Cucuta I saw this poster beside the road, I'm in!!

A bullfight has been on the bucket list for years. Rode into Bochalema to check it out and maybe get a place to stay. It's a small town and every room was booked so I continued into Pamplona, just 25 miles to the west.
Song of the day: Locked Out of Heaven, Bruno Mars
(This was the first song in english I heard, Jan 01, 2014. Somebody had speakers in their house window next to my hotel, it stuck)
January 03, 2014:
The plan for today was get a haircut and then take a ride to the mountain village of Cucutilla and have lunch. Meet some people last night while I was eating and they mentioned it was a nice ride on dirt road.
Ten miles out of Pamplona I was on dirt road:

There are mud shelters all through out the mountains. They're used for storage and for place to sleep whenever workers are in the area. Due to the steep terrain it takes a lot of time and effort to work the small fields so they just stay for a few days.

It was overcast all day with a temperature of 56 deg.

Cucutilla village square. It's a very small town and everyone came out to see the Gringo on the big moto. A couple dozen people must have sat on it for a photo. One mother asked if I would give her son a ride around the village. It was quite a big deal for the little guy.
