Heading for Nicoya along the coast road. Met some local guys out of San Jose on BMW's, got some good information.

Woke up early headed for Santa Terasa. I was attempting to take the beach road however the rain has got the rivers up. I met a couple guys, Americans, that had just come through in a fairly high 4X4 truck and said there are three major river crossing I'll have to make, the first one was just ahead and pretty deep, up to the waist. The next river crossing wasn't as deep but there's a muddy incline for me getting out. I rode down and took a look at the first crossing, no way. It started raining again and went for cover.
The roads dry out fast however, when they're wet some spot are just like ice. The tire spins but it doesn't throw any mud. Crazy slick. Spent quite a bit of time walking down hills and around corners to make sure I would be able to get out if needed.

It was raining, slow going and my head was cooking, so I took my helmet off and strapped it to my dry bag. It felt great!

Water stop. Notice how dry the road is even though it was just raining.

This was the biggest crossing I had to make. It was 1ft in the first section and then above the knees for a vehicle length.

This guy was selling BBQ pork on a stick in the town center. I hung out with him to practice some spanish. He was also selling local cheese and would leave the stand to make a sale. A guy on a tractor pulled up and wanted a meat stick. The little guy was off selling cheese so I took over the stand.

Today was one of the best days riding I've had in a long time! How I didn't flop that thing is mystery.

Headed for Samara beach. Beautiful ride it's just raining a lot and not very good for photo's.

The first things I noticed about CR is how green it is and how clean it is.

Decided to hang out in Tamarindo for a day and get some information from the locals. I want to travel the coast around the Nicoya peninsula however many of the roads are dirt with no bridges and it's raining, a lot.

Either I parked in his spot or he really liked the motorcycle:

Got up early and headed for Costa Rica. It was one of the most confusing, no one could care less, take my sweet time border crossings I have been through. Both departing Nicaragua and entering Costa Rica. The process is pretty simple, it's just the people working didn't seem to care. Lots of people around offering to help, for a tip, however I prefer to do it myself. It seemed this had something to do with the slow service and lack of information I was getting from officials. I don't know how many times I was told to move the motorcycle and shown where to park just to be told to move it again. It was like a game for them, lets see what we can make the Gringo do? I tried to make light of it and joke, but no one felt like laughing.
It cost me $3 to exit Nicaragua, a $1 entry fee to the passport counter and $2 for the exit stamp. $30 to enter Costa Rica however, this was for mandatory MC insurance. By the time I reached Liberia it was looking like rain so I headed for Tamarindo.

On the way Tamarindo:
