Woke up to a very good morning! I was going past the mountain again on my way to Banos and this time I would get a view of the summit. Met Paul and Chloe at breakfast and they were also heading up to the base and then west to the coast.

Was about to depart when I say this thing staring at me:

Whenever I come near a small pueblo I often ride through the center. I saw this church from the road descending into town.

The church is famous, however I didn't understand why:

Not a good place to take a nap. There was a grill two meters to his right:

The buildings in the background are about it for this village. However, they did have these two statues.

The village is just north of Riobamba which is famous for bull fights among other things.

The past two days were some of the best riding I've done in Ecuador. I'm not in any hurry to leave.
I'm going to stay in Banos a few days and then ride back up to Quito. The moto fell over when I was stopping one time on Chimborazo, facing down hill in neutral, engine running, damn, I hate when I do that. Anyway, it broke the end off the clutch handle and maybe the dealer in Quito has one. No big deal, but this is one of the spare parts I have been meaning to buy and never did.
