Tequendama Falls

From Pamplona I rode into Bogota and got new tires from Gonzalo Bueno MFG. Gonzalo is an ADV rider and I spent a few hours and lunch getting some good information on SA, it was a great day! Rode south out of the city and found a place to stay in Subia.

Got up early the next morning and rode to Salto de Tequendama, (Teguendama Falls, Bogota River) along with the falls there is a famous hotel there, closed. I was told it's a nice road to take on the way south to Neiva. The Bogota River is polluted beyond imagination and when I got within 100 meters of it I started to smell it. The falls are impressive except for the stench coming up out of the canyon. Someone told me they want to turn the hotel into a museum or even possibly open it as a hotel again.
