Departed Lencois on the 25th and headed SW to Janauba before working my way back towards the coast. This area of the interior is hot and dry with not much scenery.

As I got closer to the coast the weather changed to overcast with scattered rain.

I arrived in Rio de Janeiro on the 1st of October with the plan of staying couple days and hitting the beaches. Didn't work out quite as planned, I stayed for two days however it was windy or rainy most of the time. I did manage a trip up to the famous statue during a clear period.
